Hello friends! I’ve just returned from a 2 week trip to Sydney, Australia with a stop in Southern California on the way back! It was an incredible trip, we got to see the Sydney opera house, visit with friends we have not seen in many years, and pet koalas – seriously, so adorable.
I woke up today jet-lagged and with a little sore throat and knew that I wanted to attack this thing head on: enter this delicious immune boosting smoothie.
This smoothie came out so delicious, and I think it’s partly due to this new plant-based protein powder I picked up in Australia from this company called Tropeaka. All of their products are gluten and dairy free, and this plant-based protein has pea protein, brown rice protein, maca powder, sacha inchi protein and so much more. It does have stevia extract in it, which I am usually very sensitive to, but this powder does not taste overly sweet if that’s something you’re concerned with.
Honestly, I’ve heard about this brand for so long and really wanted to try their lean vanilla protein powder, and it does not disappoint! (Not sponsored, I just love this product.)
Whenever I’m trying to build up my immune system there are a few things I always think of – first vitamin C. Acai powder, camu camu, and blueberries are the stars of this smoothie – not only does it taste delicious, but I know I’m getting a good dose of immune boosting vitamins, yay!
Secondly, I like to make sure I’m getting plenty of hydration, adequate protein, and B-vitamins in the form here of the water, protein and collagen powders, and banana – respectively. This smoothie came together so quickly, and I think I’ll be drinking it all week long to keep any colds away!
